Put most astutely, it's the most fun you'll ever have making a movie on a Saturday.
The idea is simple; a bunch of people having various skills (or not having, as the case often is) get together
on Saturday morning to spend the day making a movie, hopefully finishing sometime before Sunday (although that rarely happens). We write the scripts beforehand and keep them in the
forum for review and editing, and then select one lucky script to be made into a real moving picture. We cast, direct, film, edit, and score the movie ourselves all in one day.
Budgets average about $10 per movie, including bagels.
Recently, Movie Saturday has come on hard times as our core group becomes increasingly burned out.
(It turns out making a movie in one day is as much stress as it is fun) We've put MS on hiatus to
allow us to pursue grander projects with more friendly deadlines.
